Not done retooling their offensive line, the Giants on Wednesday night agreed to terms with Patrick Omameh, a 28-year-old guard with 45 NFL starts for the Buccaneers, Bears and Jaguars. Omameh was replaced in Jacksonville by Andrew Norwell, the player the Giants set as their priority in free agency before breaking the bank for Nate Solder.
Undrafted out of Michigan, the 6-foot-4, 327-pound Omameh started 13 games last season for the Jaguars. He started all 16 games for the Buccaneers in 2014. With the Giants, he figures to compete for a starting job and provide depth on the line. John Jerry, a starting guard the past four years, remains on the roster and Jon Halapio, a guard who started the last six games in 2017, was re-signed. John Greco, a 10-year veteran signed in mid-November, was also re-signed by general manager Dave Gettleman, who clearly wants to bring in as many bodies as he can to provide as much completion on the line as possible.

With Pouncey signed through the 2020 season as part of a five-year contract extension with the Dolphins in 2015, Miami saved $7 million on its salary cap with his release.
A three-time Pro Bowler, Pouncey started 93 games in seven seasons with the Dolphins but played in all 16 games last season for the first time since 2012.

The Chargers could use help up front on their offensive line and have not found a long-term replacement at center since Nick Hardwick retired after the 2014 season.
Spencer Pulley started all 16 games last season in his first year as a starter, but the Vanderbilt product’s performance was uneven.
